Answer:

This song is kind of a goofy song about moving powder. It is more like a throw back to my younger days when I had to make money by any means necessary. It has been a long time since that was the lifestyle but I got that beat and it just made sense to me. Influcned bu like Mac Dre E-40 bay area rappers.

Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

I am The Young Yay AKA jason. The young bay area is a rap name i had picked when i was 15 years old lol. I am now 36, So I wanted to use the name as a reminder of who i was and what music has done for me in my life. I am a bay area peace loving hippie.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?

I struggled and felt like i had a midlife crisis likei knew what it would be like to be old and i hated it. so after lockdown i just went nuts and went back to using substances again. In irder to get sober 3 years later i had to tunr to music again and find someting that could help me. That is what started everything you are seing now. I never thought a year ago I would be where i am now.

Answer:

I explore being a gay man and how that creates social issues that are like being denied housing, job oppprotunites and having people try to kill me. I talk about substance use and how i hope people can do better than i have and not go the route i did. I talk about the struggles of life and having sturgles with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. I also tlak about goofy shit like designer dclothing and habing soem nice rings haha. But socialy concious. I am also a therapist so i talk about nature an meditation. Also family trauma becasue i have been through a lot in my life. Intergeneration trauma is a good song about to come out.
