Who are you and what do you do?

Answer:

I am Paula Laubach, an artist from Austin, Texas, and Daph Veil is my new solo project that allows me to finally bring to life the songs I’ve written over the years. These are tracks that didn’t quite fit into the bands or projects I’ve been part of before because they didn’t align stylistically. Daph Veil lets me embrace these outliers, blending darkwave, indie, pop, rock, and shoegaze without worrying about genre boundaries. My debut single, "I Don’t Need You (Someday)," is the perfect example of this freedom, where I focus on creating music I connect with and hope others do too.
