Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

My name is Melion and I am a singer-songwriter

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

One of my greatest memories is when I was a little boy, and the best R&B music came on the radio. That's when I knew I was meant to be something more.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

It's funny, because all throughout high School I played sports and didn't really focus on music. It wasn't until I went into college that I heavily dove into it.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

You can consider this music to be R&B pop

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

I'm a big fan of growth in music and in life. Your music should reflect what's going on around you and also what's going on with you. So as we grow older we should invest more time into our craft, and fall in love with it all over again.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

I'm a big fan of energy. I would love to go on tour with Nelly, Bruno Mars, and Jason Derulo

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

I would describe my music to someone who has never heard it before. As heartfelt, and personally engaging. I try to relate to everybody, with no bias

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

I've never gotten a chance to see Michael Jackson live. That would be something to remember in my lifetime.

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

One of my favorite songs that I have written is called lost it all. I dove into that record with everything I had.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

To be honest, I got a chance to live one of my dream performances. It was in front of a crowd of 50,000 people, and afterwards they made me feel so welcome as an artist.

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

I would love to do a song with Tori. Kelly, fausto, Eric Benet, or Brian McKnight.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

To be honest, I want you to feel whatever you feel. I Make music to bring to life everything that I'm feeling at the time that I wrote the song. So if you don't feel what I feel, that's okay.

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

I have had multiple day jobs LOL but I keep stumbling back towards my passion which is music.

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

Our job is entertainers is to bring a little Joy to your life, in a world where things don't always happen for the best. Best. That's why music can be so many things to people. So overall, I hope that I could bring you an experience with my vocals, or performance that you would never forget

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

The scariest thing I have ever done was to move to Atlanta for the first time not knowing where I was going to live, work, or if I would ever get a deal.

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?
Answer:

I spent a lot of late nights going from studio to studio, and I got locked out of the house one night because my dad was angry with me for coming in so late lol

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

Success is what you make it to be. I believe that I'm successful because I was able to get in front of millions of people with my music, and to share my vision. Therefore, I am successful.

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Energetic, heartfelt, expressive

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

I would bring back the actual days of needing to be talented in order to compete. Not to sound mean but everybody isn't meant to sing LOL. But on the other side sing your heart out if that's what you love to do.

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

I've learned that you need to be able to separate business from personal relationships. Or else you may run into some hardships down the road, and unnecessarily lose some friends.
