How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

I'm just silly and playful & it shows on the record, as I'm talking quite explicitly but still deliver in a very playful manner.

Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

I'm Quasar The Composer, a rapper, singer, writer & Music enthusiast.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

I had the experience of buying an actual tape, in the 2nd grade. I've been a fan of music my whole life. The artist on the tape were Timberland & Magoo, Missy Elliot, Genuine & Aaliyah.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I was dating a guy who was in a all boy rap group who brought me to a few parties & we'd always end up like in a back room somewhere freestyling in a circle, & I always just jumped in. My boyfriend and his friends were like you're really hard, you should rap, so he started making beats for me & I just started recording music on his MacBook.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

"Bag The Cat" is essentially a rap record, but the tempo of the beat and my playful flow makes it Pop, so I'd say a combo of the 2.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

I used to write concept songs & now I just write about my life, regardless if it's something significant or something minor, really just depends on the beat, but I find I write most records to vent frustrations, lol.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

I definitely touch on my sex life or lack of a lot, challenging times in my life, Love & betrayal.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

I would 1000% hit the road with Lana Del Rey since I know she has a large female audience & I write from a female perspective so I know my music will resonate w the crowd.

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

I'd describe it as vulnerable & unorthodox, I love listening to people with individuality. People who don't use typical words you usually hear, & I like when you can point out regional lingo....

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

I'd say my music is Unique, explicit & Playful, with a storytelling element, I have a very sweet voice but my subject Matt can be a bit racey.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

There are a bunch but the first person who came to mind was Amy Winehouse, I really admire artist who can make music from a certain era & still keep the subject matter relevant to what's happening currently in society, that special. Same reason I love Lana Del Rey & Solange Knowles.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Andre Nickatina, System of a Down & Lana Del Rey. Literally street rap, spazz alternative rock, and honeymoon music, all perfect for different vibes that I feel at different times in life.

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

I feel like shopping in the mall, because it's usually not my intention to find music I'm just shopping, but retail playlist go hard sometime.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

I want to perform in a crescent moon with clouds and blue and purple lighting. Something I always wanted to do.

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

I feel like that depends on what songs they are listening to but for the most party I want people so have fun, drive around, clean the house, and just single along, also confident, that's the main thing I want girls to feel confident listening to me.

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Open minded, authentic, eccentric.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

Confident & happy, and even a bit encouraged. Also to feel like there someone out there who understands you & see things in a similar light.

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

Just by staying authentic to who I am, there are 8 billion plus people on this planet so we're not all the same but a few of us have similarities & I'd like to connect to those people. I am a loner & was an only child for more than half of my childhood so I feel by staying authentic is important while also experimenting with different sounds.

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

I honestly just want to bring my visions into fruition as far as creativity & music videos, but also tour around meet supporters, collaborators and sale some merchandise!
