Song reviewed by:
We are excited to share CLOUDZ's new track "Someone Else - Acoustic Version"! Our goal at SongBlog is to highlight outstanding new music and give you a peek at the artist’s world behind the music. In this blog we get a chance to sit down with CLOUDZ to learn all about the inspiration, concepts, and creative energy that it took to create and produce "Someone Else - Acoustic Version". We hope you enjoy and please feel free to ask CLOUDZ anything!
Will there be any other versions of this song outside of an Acoustic version?
Answer:

No. The song is meant to be a softer tone. I wanted to at first add some drums but it didn't feel right when I did. This version felt correct for the tone.

Will this song appear on any albums or remain on its own?
Answer:

This song has too much significance to be in an album. It's meant to be on its own. And as gratitude towards the writer on this one I would like to keep it away from any EP or Album since it has more meaning to him than it does to me.

Any inspirations behind the style of writing/lyrics of the song? Is it based on a true story?
Answer:

I cannot answer for any of my writers. And since the writing process did not involve me in any way shape or form, I can't answer that at all for you (the inspiration part). Now what I can tell you is yes indeed this is based upon true feelings the writer had about an actual true love story and the breakup following it.

Who’s your biggest support system as a artist in the music industry?
Answer:

My biggest support system is two fold: 1) my sister Katelyn. She's been a big part of making sure I'm fully protected from being smashed to bits and pieces. She's been that rock or boulder that I should say that has anchored me to the ground.
2) my fanbase. You all have taught me various lessons on how to control myself and my emotions keeping me in check. You never ever gate keep for me you tell people how it is without hesitation and that's what I enjoy is a realistic expectation from fans.

Who wrote this song and why did you record it?
Answer:

Toby Newman who is also a content creator of whom goes by Nuggy wrote this song. I performed and recorded this track for him because he wanted (as a mental health advocate himself) to not just put his feelings about a recent breakup experience that caused himself damage, but to also have a relationship with others whom may have had the same type of experience with trauma from a previous relationship.

Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

Corey Wilson Stuart aka CLOUDZ

Producer/Singer/Songwriter/Lyricist

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

4 years old I heard my sister Rachel singing in her bedroom a few years later decided I wanted to be just like her. Then I listened to The Beatles and Maroon 5 for my very first time. The ladder my sister got me into.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

Met Andy Grammer in 2019 during his “The Good Parts Tour” at the Dalls House Of Blues. I was homeless for my first of many times, and he was so inspirational to me and gave me some good heart warming advice from the stage during the VIP Performance. I will never forget that moment of courage he built up inside of me.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Pop/Pop/Rock/Accoustic

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

I started out independent as my full name Corey Wilson Stuart. I knew absolutely nothing to none about being an artist in this industry. A local Naples FL producer named Andrea aka AndRoc Studios started not only composing and producing songs for me, but also helped teach me how to be a producer as well. And right before I got signed to One Million Entertainment, I changed my artist profile to CLOUDZ. It felt right and I've been improving ever since that day of being a nobody to becoming a growing new popular artist in the music industry.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

Iike the old school funk mixed with the newer Pop/Rock vibes. It allows me to still feel as I did when I was young: Aerosmith/Rolling Stones/The Beatles/Maroon 5/Gavin DeGraw/Justin Timberlake/Andy Grammer. All these artist take it back to their roots and mix it up a little bit. I love that type of energy in a song.

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

Adam Levin., Justin Timberlake, or Andy Grammer. They all three bring back oldies and blend them with the newer stuff you hear these days. Plus they have such a beat perspective on style and kindness throughout the world which makes me feel warmth in my heart for what they do.

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Loving.

Caring.

Supportive.

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

I'm currently working at a hospital for inpatients as a patient transporter. I am also in college working towards a BA in Psychology.
