Breaking Ties’ is a deeply personal song that comes from a place of pain and realization. It’s about those moments in a relationship when you know, deep down, that there’s no love left from the other side, but you find yourself unable to walk away. I've often felt trapped in relationships where I sensed my partner didn't truly love me anymore, but they were afraid to say it or push me away.
This song captures that internal struggle, the frustration of waiting for someone else to make the break, and the emotional turmoil of knowing you deserve more but not having the strength to leave. Writing 'Breaking Ties' was my way of processing those feelings and finding a voice for that pain. It’s raw, honest, and reflects the complexity of break-ups when love has faded but the ties still bind. I hope it resonates with anyone who’s ever felt stuck, waiting for a push to set them free.
