My name is Eric and I produce music under the name Phidippus.

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

I have a long history of producing drum & bass and these vocals which were at the perfect tempo fell into my lap so naturally I did the dnb thing with them.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?

Answer:

Blondie's "Call Me" when I was about 5 years old.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?

Answer:

When I got my Ensoniq EPS 16 Plus sampling workstation.

What genres does this release play into?

Answer:

Drum and bass with some trance influence.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?

Answer:

That's hard to say. I'm always trying new things. I have some salsa somewhere in the studio...

What themes do you explore throughout your music?

Answer:

Change. Redemption. Anguish. Frustration. Sensuality. Confusion. A lot of other emotions....
