Freemoney G Perspective on Touchdown

About 2 years ago i started writing while incarcerated. Once i got out this time last year i started investing and recording

Ever since i can remember i was always drawn to the music. Never really watched tv a whole lot

Ive only been doing this 2. But naw every time i go in the studio i evolve and grow as a artist. Over the last couple of months ive started crossing into other genres experimenting trying find my sound but still giving it that unique freemoney touch.

Patience! Success doesnt happen over night. Its easy to see other artist that are already established and think its simple all u gotta do is kno how to rap. But there is so much more that goes into what we do. Im not only a rapper but ima business man, marketer, ect.

I dont wanna be compared to any body. Im me and bring my own unique style to the table. But i would like to be in conversations when people mention those in the top of the billboard charts at any given time

I do this for me, and for all the people who knew me up to a few years ago when i was really out there living life like that... Like There was a point in time i never though my life would change for the better, in and out of a jail cell, fighting addiction, my first wife of 10 years past away while i was locked up, and momma died.. So this is a testament to for all those who felt or still feel like i did. Im basically giving the blueprint out on how to make ya dreams a reality. And i do this for my wife and kid now. So that they can have the best version of me and a better life. Fact!

I definitely look at things a lot differently than most. Some times i really think i might be retarded. Lol fr tho.. 🤔🤫

Whats good im Freemoney G but most people just call me Freemoney for short. Im a hip-hop/rap artist out of north ga. But i been around the city of Atlanta in and off over the years.

My background plays into everything i do. My past has molded me into who i am now and is the reason i do what i do.

I most definitely wanna get link with kevin gates. That dude is super elevated and talented. The definition of motivation. But music is a collaborative thing so i wanna work with as many artist as i can and build up that portfolio im working on.

Hip-hop rap

I try to be versatile.

Jelly roll!!! Having a similar back ground, i feel like it would be a life changing event for me and i could learn alot of it.

I let the music speak for its self

Chasing skies no doubt. It was really like my first song so the audio quality aint that great. But i had a lot of fun making it. I actually made it off a cell phone on my way to work at like 4 am. Which is y the audio kinda suck but its still a dope ass song. I even made a low budget video for when i was coning back from Savannah ga and stumbled on the world last payphone both. Lol but naw i definitely got out my comfort zone and grew alot from making it.

Social media. I post more snipits of new music than i actually release. But it gives me a chance to test new ideas, engage with fans and grow my fan base too. But i also have stickers made with my Spotify qr code on em. And ill randomly put them in public places for people to scan and check out.

The amount of support I've gotten is crazy sometimes it like still blows my mind. I actually have a folder on my lap top off all the "fan mail" that people have messaged me over the last year.

Amazon flex, AutoZone warehouse, i had my own remodeling business twice, ive worked for at least 2 dozen different builders in my life time, kfc, Taco Bell for 2 hrs, subway, McDonald's, kirby vacuum sales, the chicken plant, fab tech, and im sure there's more lmao. Ive definitely been trying to find where i fit in. 🤦🏼

Up untill recently i would write everything on hr drive to work ever morning. The then hr drive home i would study audio production. Then on my off days i spend all day in my studio perfecting my craft.
Plus i spend an entire year during my last incarceration writing constantly. I mean all the time 24/7

Headlining a sold out show. With some super dope featured guest artist.

A Very major role we are some of biggest influencers in the world. So our voice is an artist carries a lot of weight. We essentially set the trends. Music can be a very powerful tool and you can use it for good just like you can use it for bad. I'm really big on energy.

I made my life lonely, ima intervert...and Most of the time i kinda like it, it helps me be more creative. Most of my best material come from my most loneliest moments in life. I mold my pain in the purpose and then I formed my passion out of that.if that makes any sense

I wouldn't say embarrassing but the first time i ever rapped infront of people i was so nervous. Man like i had about 60 people crowded around and my adrenaline was pumping so bad my hands were shaking and i got so winded.

My other main passion is my family. And seeing how much my son looks up to and me and what i do drives me more. The other day i cought him in his room on YouTube listing to beats and tryna freestyle. He's only 9 but has a lot of potential. He helps promote me on social media and gives his opinion on the designs on my new clothing line coming soon.

Man i cant pick one. I love the whole process and it now has become a way of life for me.im still learning alot as i go and i get better with every release

I typically start by finding a beat on YouTube that i really vibe with. Then ill start writing and see where the energy takes me. Sometimes ill send it out to a few people and get some feedback. If its a keeper ill find the producer for the beat and buy the lease on it and start the release process

$!ckboy had told me to keep my vocals more natural. At first i didnt like the sound of my voice. Like i had actually hated the way my voice sounded. But he was like naw u good keep it natural. So from there i played around alot with my delivery and the way i would say things tryna find my voice

I typically dont make my own beats but i do make the beats my own. I like to add small elements to them that puts that extra little bit of Freemoney sauce on em

I like to collaborate, so far i think i have 3 feature all with $!ckboy. But im definitely looking forward to working with other artists here in the near future

Soundable smart comp
Fresh air plugin
A touch of auto-tune
Auto-tune warm
The list goes on...

Driving by my self. Its almost like i go to another world.

It originally had another person on it too but sometimes getting everyones verse ready to go especially when all three artist are in different places can be a challenge.

I played with the synth on this song i really just kept it simple and sampled the song for the beginning and end to help make up for the other artist i had to take off the project.

My song "possession" its only like a min and a half but start to release was only like 2 hrs. It was like all the elements in the universe just happened to line up at the moment

The hook. $!ckboy really did his thing on the chant. 💯

Probably one of the greats of Atlanta. 808 Mafia metro boomin ect. There is so many local to me.

The end of last years. Round this time last year

Facebook, tiktok, YouTube. In that order

Thats self explanatory

It has helped me keep intouch with friends and fans. And helps me get discovered by other. Word of mouth is free and great advertising

I like fb because its the best of both worlds people get me as a individual and me as a artist. So they see both sides of me more

Reels

As a artist i want all my music to do great. I put so much love and energy into it. But i wouldn't mind seeing "getaway" take off. Or "protection"

Naw not yet. Its coming tho

I do but i dont always do it first. Every once n a while ill waite untill after its released to do content and it seems to better when i do it that way

I honestly dont pay a lot of attention to the trends. I just do me

All the time. I actually use tiktok to find new artist and follow them

From the block performance

Even if I wasnt release music as a artist i would still write. That shit's my therapy

My song "jitterbug" was about the warden's assistant at a facility i was locked up in. The hook was actually a chant the whole door would do every time she walked through the hall.lmao so i thought it would dope if i just turned it into a whole ass song. Haha shout the homie ellis he actually invented the hook. I think 🤔

The way i think differently. So i feel like my words hit a little different, i mean like the way i talk and say certain things

It varries day to day. I could see the sun set and it might remind me of a sunset i had on a fucked up day i had years ago. Or it might be storming and the smell of the rain might remind me of something i missed in life. And i go from there

For me its the hook. Im not a great hook writer at all.

The beat. The beat shapes the energy and influences what comes to mind when I write

Growing up, pac. His words and poetry and music was powerful. Even to this day

When i get stuck or frustrated i typically step away for a while. Sometimes i try again the next day sometimes a few weeks later. I have so many unfinished projects sitting on my hard drive just waiting

Thats hard to say. Hopefully i have many more years of making music
