How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

As a Kid, growing up I had great role models. My mom and dad being the most influencial. I naturally wanted there approval throught life, but as I mature I relize that I also need to figure out what I want for myself. This song highlights how I've come to grasps that im not always going to please everyone else but will use there perspectives to forge my own path.
