Nappy Skilmore Perspective on Loud Silence

Writing and music have always been the most effective and helpful creative outlets for me. Authentic expression is important to me and I am grateful for the opportunity and ability to share my experience and perspective with the world.

Having gone through personal loss and personal growth simultaneously, there was a time of grieving and recovery I was experiencing. An interaction with a number of neighbors that once mocked me in my struggle were now in the same struggle. Realizing that treating them the same way they treated me, my introspection of the situation moved me to write about it.

My main objective of creating this song was to address a situation or circumstance that many can relate to, and to offer a perspective and perception that is more compassionate and empathetic.
