Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

I am independent recording artist Phaze-A-Matics. I create music, I create concerts, I create beats, I create graphics, I create opportunities, and I also mix and master vocals 

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

Growing up was super rough. I didn't have anything else the other kids had. We struggle to live. We struggle to pay the rent. We've got kicked out of apartments. I had to fight every single day of my life to ensure that I had a future. This song helps me never give up. It's a reminder that I am great. It's a reminder not to go back. always keep pushing forward. This song is for anyone who needs it. This is what I like to call pure motivation!

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

I remember being at my grandmother's house watching Michael Jackson's thriller on MTV. Right after a movie called Beat Street came on And I was never the Same after that!

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

The moment I decided to become an artist/performer would be when I would freestyle in Chicago cyphers And house parties And everyone would make noise and go crazy at the way that I rapped , and the things that I said. This is what really fueled my fire and launched me into who I am today

Answer:

This song can be found in the hip-hop and rap genre

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

My motto is quality over quantity. I believe in the last three years The music I create Is being made at a higher Quality which resonates with my audience. they have been able to see my growth as a lyricist and artist

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

As a normal human being, I enjoy many aspects of life, which I then incorporate into my music so to answer this question the themes I explore through my music are endless

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

I would go on tour with anyone who understands what I'm doing there and why im doing it for? To me teamwork makes the dream work and I wouldn't go on tour with any artist that doesn't care that I'm there!

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

Exhilarating, amazing, and a big vibe

Answer:

Unique, adrenaline pumping, smooth and flowing, One of a kind, Motivating, vibe

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

I would go to a festival where James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana, Cypress Hill, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, DMX, Lil Durk, And of course I would open up because I'm not going to no concert that I'm not performing at! lol 

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

The song I love the most is off my album our struggle, our journey, entitled "My pain" because God is the greatest! 

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

KRS one, Rod wave, and Lil Wayne because They are the perfect mixture of information and feelings each one of these artist brings a different vibe that resonates with my soul!

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

My dream performance would have to be performing in front of 1 million people!

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

A lot of times idols Become rivals and all I Wish is  that I get to a status where my favorite artists reach out and collaborate with me!

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

I haven't been to a strange place yet

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

I want people to feel loved. I want people to Feel motivated. I want people to feel inspired. I want people to feel excited. I want people to feel My struggle. I want people to feel my energy!

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Amazing, exhilarating, and Authentic

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

My favorite way of sharing my music is adding it to a playlist with other artist and watching the reaction of people as my song comes on

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

I am constantly working on my craft. So my skills are always evolving and advancing. My practice has changed overtime so much that I feel like I'm always practicing.

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

My most memorable response would have to be from the youth. When I see kids, motivated by my music and want to become better to strive for greatness! This honestly is my only goal, To help the future succeed!

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

Success comes in all forms. the way I measure Success is if I'm doing right by my family! I have to be making my family happy, elevating the people around me, Helping the future succeed through their failures, Placing a light in total darkness, And most importantly Giving opportunity where there wouldn't normally be one!

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

I plan on shifting all negativity to positivity, uniting people with different views because we're all human in the end and in the beginning When we are born!

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

We are the influencers. People are influenced by what we do, what we say, and what we create. We are the teachers, the preachers, the role models, the superheroes, we are the ones with the power to influence people to be great and amazing!

Name a song that best represents success to you, and why?
Answer:

My song from the album, our struggle, our journey entitled fantasy to reality. This song best represents success to me because I was able to turn a fantasy into reality with the power of my mind and my tongue!

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

Being told I could be blackballed. This is when certain people in the industry block you or stop you from opportunities by discrediting your name because they were either upset You did not take their deal or simply upset because You did not Agree!

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?
Answer:

Luckily, I have not had any embarrassing moments while pursuing my music!

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

Songs back in the 90s cost a dollar to buy. Nowadays, we are getting .000000007 of a dollar per stream which I'm not sure if that's exact, but it basically shows that they have devalued our music. The artist should be the only ones able to put a price on what we create!

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

I've Basically worked At every job on the planet!

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

The way my brain is wired Makes me a monster when it comes to reinforcing my process of making music! The people fuel my fire

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

Being an artist has actually done the opposite. so many people love the music I make because it helps them out in their daily life.

How would you define having an artistic outlook on life?
Answer:

Life is a vicious cycle that never ends But when you have good people around you who truly love you it makes life easy while you are alive. I recommend you enjoy the little things of life because once you are dead, there's no coming back.

What is your favorite work of art?
Answer:

The art my kids create for me because they love me!

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

Trust no one and just keep making music with music videos and short form videos making sure to spend every dollar on advertising and marketing

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

People enjoy the music I create, if they didn't, I would stop!

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

To be able to get to a level where I can reach back and successfully help people feed their families. I am a big people person and My heart is bigger than my ego. I don't wanna see kids go through this life in fear. I want them to conquer their fears with the right Direction. I want to teach. I want them to win
