How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

I wrote this song after finding a synth sample that gave me nostalgic vibes. I wanted the whole track to feel like a throwback, so that’s what I tried to do. The song is about looking back on a first love relationship as a teenager (and no, this isn’t about the person I’ve written some of my other songs about it 😂). I didn’t think about this until I after I heard the final mix, but it reminds me of Baby by Justin Bieber / Ludacris. What do y’all think of the track?
