Who are you and what do you do?

I am Official Wreckk, an independent artist based in Chicago. I write, produce, and engineer my own music.

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

I typically create music that reflects my current emotions, past experiences, and the challenges I've faced and overcome. I strive to keep my music as authentic as possible.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?

Answer:

"Listening to Michael Jackson and hearing how he challenged his voice, using it as an instrument to create so many unique sounds, has been a huge influence on me. And seeing how much of an impact a person music can make on people lives.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?

Answer:

Man, I really got serious about music around 9th grade, but I knew I had talent as early as 5th grade when I would rap battle my friends at the lunch table. I’m still undefeated to this day.
