5Fortyproductions Perspective on ALL DAY

5Fortyproductions, (Shaun M. Butler) or, 5Fortypros as he is better known is a Nu-Metal/RapMetal/Hip-Hop Artist and Producer from Northern New Jersey. Butler (5FortyPros) aka Sharobbie_the_God, has been part of a number of different musical projects spanning over 2 decades. Now, as 5Fortypros, this singer/Songwriter has added Producer to his repertoire. Butler, had this to say about his artistic process, “I love everything about it. The writing, the recording, the producing, all of it. It’s a passion for me. I thought I was done as an artist. I thought I was going the, -having a family route-and that was that. So, when I got back in, it was ALL OR NOTHING. I had to put out the material I wanted, THATS IT. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE being in a band and still love ALL the guys I was lucky enough to share time, ideas, and the stage with. It’s like going to war and it’s you vs the world. That camaraderie is indescribable. This one’s just personal for me. The how I started it, the why I started it, and what I’m doing in it and with it. I’m an emotional person, too much so sometimes, and I have a lot to say that people can relate too, and I feel that, for the first time, the music I’m putting out is a real mirror into who I am now, and that feels really good to me because, that was always a goal of mine. To not put out music just to put out music, but to tell my story, and have people really feel and relate to it, ya know? I feel like I’m doing finally doing that.”

It doesn't apply. This is a song about the moment you're in. The here and now and what you do with it.

When I was 7-8 years old my older sister always liked 80s music. So I would take any music I could from her, cause I thought she was cool. So I remember my first favorite band was Guns N' Roses. I wanted to be Axl Rose

I dreamt about it ever since I discovered music. But never thought it was possible, as I'm not trained and never told anyone about that dream. Then, in HS, I jammed with some friends as their singer and eventually got to do a song live in front of the whole school. It went so well that I was hooked and new I wanted that to be what I did in life.

This song has a nu metal sound to it. Which is primarily what I like to do. Mixing hard rock/metal music with Hip-hop style lyrics.

Lately, I feel, I've really come into my own as a songwriter. Which, when i became an original musician and experienced how easy it was to write a song but how hard it really is to write a great song or a song that will never be forgotten, that's when writing and the message of these songs became so important to me.

I touch personal experience. I always write from experience. I've been through a lot in this life both good and bad. I tend to talk about the bad and how it affected me and how I made it through. I believe there are people who can relate to what I went through cause they did too and they NEED that in life, the same way I needed and still need music like that. And
