Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

A native of Cádiz, a city in the south of Andalusia, Gless, born on August 30, 1991, was linked to music from a very young age, over the years consecrating a different style within urban music. Coming from a humble family, the Cádiz singer expresses his personal experiences and most intimate feelings in his songs.

Nicknamed “The Cosmos Boy”.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

Dolce Invidia talks about topics such as false friendships, convenience, envy, the false appearances that surround us in our daily lives when other people see us prosper.

 

Despite everything we will always remain strong and with our clear objectives, no matter how much you helped or who you helped, no matter if they are not grateful, we will always go forward without looking back.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

Since I was little I was always surrounded by music, family, education, my place of origin Cádiz is music. From a very early age I started playing instruments by ear without even knowing what a score was, it's funny! I have always written and composed songs and melodies, I recorded my first rap singles when I was 13 years old.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

When COVID arrived, that's when I knew it was my time, and that's how it was.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Hip hop, rap, with melodic tones taken from current French rap and afrobeat.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

My style has evolved in such a way that I integrate different urban styles such as French and American rap, r&b and afrobeat, in a very peculiar and very personal style, even combining my Andalusian dialect with French.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

Mainly the disconnection from this surreal world we live in. Secondarily, everyday themes of life itself.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

Hatik, we have a very similar vibe.

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

Maes is a french rapper whose versatility is so wide that it is overwhelming, he can make dozens of versions and novelties of the same style like rap before anyone else. He is always one step ahead at his young age.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

Evasion, good vibes, in peace, truth, loud but gloomy.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Tupac Amaru Shakur, he was ahead of his time, street poetry, versatile like himself.

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

En Paz, it makes you disconnect at an incredible level in addition to including a ``Jersey´´ where the song accelerates for a moment like life itself to return to peace.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

A SCENARIO THAT SIMULATES THE COSMOS AND ME GETTING DOWN IN A SPACESHIP.

Answer:

Maes.

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

In the bathroom of an expensive restaurant xD.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

I always want my music to make them escape, make them disconnect to another universe far away from this cruel world.

Answer:

FUN

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

Streams Platforms and partys.

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

I have always played music, before I did it more with friends in the neighborhood or when we went out to parties. Now I do it in a more professional way.

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

My companies.

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

I measure success in leaving my legacy and that with just one person who escapes and feels happy listening to my music, success is enough.

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

I can stick to many different styles of music, I am very versatile, I have never had a problem with that even though I have my favorite genres like rap.

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

The role of the artist is ephemeral and even more so today when everything happens quickly and very few observe the details of the music, the tones, the lyrics, the melodies, the small details.

Answer:

Maes, Billets Verts.

With that song he launched his successful career.

Answer:

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?
Answer:

Absurd situations with producers.

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

It would further enhance talent, lyricism, and true vocal singing.

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

Seafood Business.

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

Making me use the same effort and perseverance to achieve success.

Answer:

No, same things, same life.

How would you define having an artistic outlook on life?
Answer:

Knowing how to appreciate the small details.

Answer:
