Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

I'm Migz and I'm a Rapper, I've always seen myself producing my own songs so I learned how to do so and now I spend my days experiencing life and writing/producing music.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

During my journey there has been a lot of bumps in the road and there is most likely more ahead, this song represents the side of me that doesn't care about all the little disruptions, knowing that I'm blessed in life and always keeping my goals in front.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

I was about 12 years old and it he first time my mum ever let me buy a CD. I remember looking through the second hand cds in such awe, i had never heard of half of the artists i was looking at so the cover art and genre was where my attention was being drawn. I remember choosing 3 cds and being so excited to get home and listen to them, I'd sit in my room listening to everything, I wrote down every lyric to my favorite songs and sung/rapped them proudly.

The 3 cds were

Usher - Confessions

50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Tryin

My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

In my early teen years, my uncles were my biggest inspiration to start performing.

I would sneak out to the garage at my grandparents house to watch them smoke bongs and write songs. They had exercise books filled from cover to cover with lyrics. And were always working together to make some super crazy sounding beats, this was back when FL Studio 8 was the best DAW available.

Instead of watching movies late at night they would watch live performances from their inspirations, mainly Tech Nine and Krizz Kaliko..

That's where I get my drive to learn, they were always trying to improve their craft and now I've found my self walking the same path they once did. Proudly.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Being a rapper, I've had a lot of fun over the years rapping to all different types of beats, from dramatic suspense driven movie scores, to the beat of the washing machine as it smashes out a set of rinse dry.

I've always wanted to rap to a beat that sounded like a DJ was 3 hours deep into a dance mix and running out of things to play, so I made an attempt at creating a nice dance beat with a song structure that I can rap to without being too overwhelming or underwhelming.
