Name three artists you’d like to be compared to.
Answer:

If I could be compared to any three artists, they would be Gwen Stefani, Rihanna, and Sade.

Gwen Stefani — Like me, Gwen is an LA native who effortlessly combines Pop and Reggae, bringing a sense of fun and energy to everything she does. Her ability to blend genres while exuding style and beauty is something I deeply resonate with and aspire to in my own music and persona.

Rihanna — Rihanna’s mastery of Pop and rhythm, complete with unforgettable catchy hooks and melodies, is a huge inspiration for me. She’s not just a music icon but also a fashion trendsetter, seamlessly merging her musical prowess with her influence in the fashion world—an approach I’ve embraced with my own music and fashion ventures.

Sade — Sade embodies the epitome of sultry and seductive music, delivering each note with a grace and smoothness that’s timeless. Her ability to rock the music world with a quiet, powerful intensity is something I admire and strive to emulate in my own artistic journey.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

If I could go on tour with any artist, it would be a dream to have shared the stage with legends like Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, and Jimi Hendrix. Though they’re no longer with us, their influence on music and performance is timeless, and the idea of touring with them is something that deeply inspires me.

Having toured with some of the biggest names in the industry as a background vocalist, I’ve always been a student of the craft, soaking in every bit of wisdom and experience from those around me. But these icons—Michael, Marvin, James, and Jimi—were in a league of their own, each bringing something extraordinary to the stage that still resonates with audiences today.

I would’ve loved to have had the chance to see behind the curtain with them, to understand how and why they created and performed the way they did. They weren’t just performers; they were innovators, visionaries who constantly pushed the boundaries of music and live performance. To witness their process, to see how they crafted their shows, how they connected so deeply with their audiences, and even to understand what they might have wanted to do differently each night, would have been an incredible learning experience.

Touring with any of them would have been a masterclass in artistry and showmanship, a chance to grow and evolve by observing the best. Their ability to transform a concert into a life-changing experience is something I deeply admire, and though they’re no longer with us, their legacy continues to inspire me in my own journey as an artist.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

Over the last three years, Bridget Sarai’s sound has undergone a significant evolution, marked by a shift in focus and intent. In the past, her creative process often centered around the listener, experimenting with different styles and ideas in an effort to see what would resonate. It was a period of exploration and discovery, where she was eager to connect with her audience by crafting songs that might appeal to a broad range of tastes.

However, this approach has evolved into something much more personal and fulfilling. Bridget now creates music for herself, driven by her own tastes and desires. She’s embraced the philosophy of making music that she wants to hear, rather than primarily considering what might appeal to others. This change has brought a new level of authenticity to her work, as she pours her heart into creating tracks that resonate deeply with her own experiences and emotions. The result is music that feels more genuine, organic, and true to who she is as an artist.

This evolution also reflects in her approach to the time and process of making music. Bridget acknowledges that crafting a song is an extensive process—one that requires patience and dedication. Many of her latest releases were started years ago, meticulously refined over time to reach their final form. Meanwhile, the music she’s been working on for the past year or so remains unreleased, still undergoing the careful, thoughtful process that she now embraces.

This new approach has allowed Bridget to enjoy the creative process more fully, finding joy and satisfaction in the act of creation itself. Whether or not her music resonates with others is secondary to the fulfillment she gains from making music that she loves. This evolution in her sound and process has not only deepened her connection to her own art but also opened the door for listeners to connect with her music on a more profound level, as it now carries a sense of authenticity and passion that is impossible to ignore.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Bridget Sarai’s "World Is Yours" leans into the Pop and R&B genres with a subtle infusion of Soul. The track features smooth, emotive vocals layered over a polished, contemporary production that blends the rhythmic grooves of R&B with the accessibility and melodic hooks typical of Pop music. The soulful undertones in her vocal delivery add depth and warmth, making the song resonate with a wide audience. This genre blend highlights Bridget’s versatility and ability to merge different musical elements into a cohesive and engaging sound.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

Bridget Sarai’s journey to becoming an artist and performer feels almost predestined—something she always knew she was meant to do. Even from a young age, her passion for the arts was evident, and her mother, recognizing this, nurtured her talents by enrolling her in acting classes. This led to Bridget obtaining an agent and diving headfirst into the world of auditions and commercials. While she came tantalizingly close to landing roles in sitcoms, often just missing out at the last second, these early experiences only fueled her determination.

It was in high school that Bridget’s focus began to shift more heavily toward music. She tried her hand at community theater, but it was the pull of music that truly captured her heart. She auditioned for and attended the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where she honed her craft among other talented young performers. Her dedication paid off when she earned a scholarship to the renowned Berklee College of Music, where she continued to develop her skills and graduated with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

However, it wasn’t just formal education that shaped Bridget’s artistic path. The countless concerts and live music spaces she encountered over the years played a significant role in deepening her love for performing. Watching artists connect with their audiences, feeling the energy of the crowd, and witnessing the power of live music made it clear to Bridget that this was where she belonged—on stage, sharing her voice and her art with the world.

Bridget Sarai’s journey has been one of persistence, passion, and an unwavering belief in her calling. From her early days in acting to her immersion in music, every step has led her to where she is today—a dynamic artist ready to leave her mark on the industry.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

One of Bridget Sarai’s earliest memories of music is dancing for hours to Chaka Khan’s “I Feel for You.” Even as a child, she was captivated by the energy and rhythm of the song, losing herself in the groove and discovering a passion for music that would shape her future. She also remembers trying to sing along to Sade’s “Smooth Operator,” her young voice attempting to capture the sultry smoothness that Sade effortlessly delivered. These early experiences were more than just moments of fun—they were formative, planting the seeds for a lifelong love of music and performance.

But perhaps the most impactful memory was attending her first concert: Michael Jackson’s iconic “Bad” tour. As she watched the King of Pop command the stage, Bridget was in awe of the way the audience reacted to every move he made. People danced, cried, and even fainted, completely swept up in the magic of his performance. It was in that moment that Bridget realized the true power of music—the ability to connect with people on such a deep, emotional level. That concert left an indelible mark on her, inspiring her to pursue a career where she could create those same kinds of unforgettable moments for others.

These early experiences with music, from dancing in her living room to witnessing a legend live on stage, have profoundly influenced Bridget Sarai’s approach to her craft.
