Soviet Jesus Choir is a Trans Female-fronted Post-Folk/Alternative Rock band based in Los Angeles, CA that is currently performing and promoting the first singles from their fast approaching second album. Soviet Jesus Choir's sound is concocted by drummer Sam Kempner's thunderously orchestral rhythm and guitarist Nick Hodges' strikingly melodious harmony; both of which are propelled by the challenging, yet brutally honest storytelling of lead vocalist Layla Cima. With careful attention to recording arrangements and live presentations, the band earns highly emotive responses from their audience that cater to the complexities of the human condition.
