In this blog we get a chance to sit down with Lioness Of Yah to learn all about the inspiration, concepts, and creative energy that it took to create and produce "RWC". We hope you enjoy and please feel free to ask Lioness Of Yah anything!
Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

Well I am Aeriel known as Lioness of YAH. I'm a musician first, as many know I started out playing the drums & bass guitar. Later becoming a recording artist.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

Well, RWC has a lot to do with my influences. The acronym R W  C actually stands for Rock Witchu or Rock with you. The song Michael Jackson originally created, & Janet Jackson also has a song of the same name. Their sound really inspired me for this track.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

I remember growing up & my mom playing Kirk Franklins the family album. I grew up in a Christian home so gospel music always playing..

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

The turning point for me was a special memory. I was laying in bed me and my older brother Steven. We were watching the Jackson 5 American dream movie, and the scene where Michael preformed for Motown 25 anniversary played and when he did that moonwalk something happen to me. I was like omg this is what I want to do, I want to be like Michael Jackson. The same thing happen to my brother, who later has became a phanominal song writer by the name of Lazr. We woke up the next morning like did you see that, and from that moment started challenging each other to moonwalking & dancing. We use to have rap battles. That was the catalyst towards my path.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

RWC fits the jersey club sound because of the drum pattern, but I would also say pop.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

My intent is for every listener to feel the connection to THE MOST HIGH. Even though many may not be believers, my ultimate prayer is for the listeners to gain an experience with the Hoy Spirit, and be moved to start a personal relationship with Him. For those who may be in the knowing, just to continue to edify as we worship together.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

I would have to say it's very eclectic, because I have so many different genres I've studied, it's easy to create mixture of sounds. So it's exciting once you really take a full listen.

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

Honestly success to me is just fulfilling the purpose Yah has given me. I can only do what He's called me to do, and when it comes to gaining influence , that's when I know my music has touched many. I just take the humble approach because ultimately my works are committed unto HIM.

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

As an artist we tend to hold the power of influence. Especially if your music is broadcasted world wide. So as a responsiblity, we must give clean, pure, positive, images & sounds to make sure our influence doesn't instruct others the wrong direction. This is why my music is strictly about THE MOST HIGH. I believe if people hear the message in such a way, that isn't always over preached but just enough catchiness to become hooked, eventually they'll find themselves graviting to The Holy Spirit. This is what we did with RWC. Initially we didn't make it sound like a gospel or Christian song, but once the listener engages more, the message starts to become clear.

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

The driving force behind my music is always going to stem from THE MOST HIGH YAH. I only do this because He told me to go to the lost tribes of Yasharal( that's Israel for those who don't know). So as long as He continues to give me utterance to speak the lyrics , I'll continue to purse this goal.
