Nessa May Perspective on Heey

I am Nessa May, an upcoming independent artist from Equatorial Guinea, with 20 years of residency in Spain. Recognized for my debut single 'Ahora que te tengo,' which won the Neox competition on a top Spanish TV channel, I also received an SGAE scholarship in 2021 for my contributions to popular music.

Now based in Manchester and working with SAFO Music Group, I'm preparing my next project while I play live concerts in Spain and the UK.

This song is about being free and yourself. 

I see myself and my friends in these lyrics, I wrote this song as a reminder of being more careless and live your life as happy as you can be.

I started as a dancer in 2010, I've been a professional dancer and choreographer since then and I've always felt the need of being on stage. I started uploading covers on youtube in 2012 and I knew I wanted to be a performer the first time I danced on a stage. Whatching MJ and Beyoncé music videos and live performances mesmerized by their talent made sense. Years later I started taking singing lessons and uploading my own songs and videos on Youtube.

This is me exploring different sounds, techniques and genres. "Heey" is Nessa May but as I say in the very first verse "I see a new Nessa coming"
