What is your earliest memory of listening to music?

Ryan's first memory of music is listening to "Don't Stop Believin'" in his parents' car when he was only 4 years old.

Who are you and what do you do?

Answer:

We are Sunset Cassette and we bring the nostalgic vibes, reminiscent of your favorite vintage artists!

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

Ryan lived in downtown Omaha for a period of time, while writing Jukebox Rebel. It was a period of confusion, rediscovery, and longing for lost love which are all aspects that have woven themselves into the vocal performance and lyrics of this track.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?

Answer:

Memories! Sunset Cassette's music and lyrics are all about capturing emotions and a timeperiod that we all think of fondly.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?

Answer:

That they're experiencing the emotions they experienced when listening to their favorite vintage artists for the very first time.

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?

Answer:

We believe that artists have a responsibility to take a music listener on a journey.

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?

Answer:

By showing everyone just how versatile the synth-pop genre truly is. There are so many different possibilities!
