At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?

Answer:

If memory serves me well...It started when I was about maybe 12 or 13 years old. I can remember the way music made me feel. that rush and excitement I would get from it. When I would hear dope instrumentals fallowed by such creative lyrics.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?

Answer:

I was always around it. Music has always been a part of my life. I guess you can say music runs through my veins. My father was a musician and played many instruments. he also loved to sing. so I guess the apple didn't fall too far from the tree.

Who are you and what do you do?

Answer:

I am J . Sanchez aka NITEMARE. I was born and raised in Springfield Massachusetts. I am an independent rap artist / songwriter.

What is your overarching goal as an artist?

Answer:

To leave my mark .

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

Growing up in hostile environments and difficult living situations, allowed me to experience and learn from the treacherous things that human beings are capable of doing to one another when driven by the greed, love, and need for money and power .

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?

Answer:

With the rapid evolution of music in today's day and age, I would say it has evolved exponentially.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?

Answer:

Hard, gritty, heartfelt, relatable, in touch with the realities of life in today's society.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?

Answer:

Who I am as a person.
