While I have created music in several genres, my main focus in Americana/Country music.

My father who was also a singer, used to sing to me every morning to wake me up to go to school!!

In my late 20's I was going through a lot of personal issues and I started writing poetry. My parents suggested that I turn them into songs, and this is what I did. Music has been my saving grace.

Americana, Country, Country Rock, and Rock.

I used to be multi-genre focused on relationships. Now, I create social impact music through Country music. This song I did for fun.

Social Impact. I focus on issues going on in the world.

Celine Dion and Nina Simone. I love Celine Dion's voice and her strength. If Nina Simone were alive, I would have loved to go on tour with her. She meant business, sang song of the times, and wanted her music to be heard.

Nina Simone and Elvis Presley. Nina Simone would command the stage and her artistry was out of this world. I grew up listening to Elvis Presley's music and he was amazing to watch on the screen..I believe that it would have been awesome to see him in person.

Music that tries to be impactful.

"I Am". It is about being a fearless black woman living in a world full of racism. I did it in one take and what you hear is all of my emotions on that subject.
