Brainrot Perspective on Everything Will Change

This song has some dark origins. The first verse is about the peace right before tragedy. Specifically, 9/11. The second verse illustrates the same concept, but is based on the Nashville Covenant school shooting. In both cases, everything changed, and in the moment, it feels like it won't get better. Sometimes, people are just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The heavy lyrics are then juxtaposed by the nostalgic and wistful music behind them.

I wanted to capture that surreal moment in time where everything is perfect right before tragedy. We look back and can't help but think of how everything was about to change, but in the moment, there was no way to know such horror was going to happen moments later.

We just released a song called Officer Dave, which is about a cop frustrated with his dull life that ends up becoming a hero. It was a fairly random story that sort of came to me out of nowhere.

This song, in particular, has a lot of shoegaze influence. However, there's still a solid rock base to it. It has a sound that feels almost timeless, like maybe it's in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, or today. It's hard to pin down and that's what's great about the sound, it can sound nostalgic to several generations of listeners.

I often write about loss, but I also like to tell stories. Sometimes the stories have a basis in reality and sometimes they're completely fictional.
