Myke Groov Perspective on INSERT DISK HERE

Myke Groov. Im and artist & musician. I write, produce, play instruments and DJ

The home I grew up in was filled with music. My Mother was going after her second degree in performing arts and voice. She was a opera singer and dance major. My father had a band that practiced 3-5 times a week in our basement. He was also a DJ when he was younger so there were records all over the house randomly. From the basement to the attic. I remember playing outside with my friends at night while the band played. People walking the block would stop and listen for a minute. My mom would be in the kitchen cooking and practicing Opera classics like La Boheme all the time. The craziest part of it was ...this was all going on in the bottom of the south side of Youngstown,Oh. ....Right near downtown. Now known as D.T.H.

When I was a kid, most of the beats were made on MPC, ASR-10, EPS 16, SP 1200. You would save them all on disk drives, Since, I consider this a beginning ep, sort of like a prequel, I named the project 'INSERT DISK HERE". The song is lyrically confident but aggresive due to the culture of my city and how you had to earn respect to perform. The song is for anybody who took the long road to get to where they are today.

Trap R&B Hip hop...Soul in songs like We aint Goin back. Hints of Synthwave/Rage in the Tron Freestyle

I was always in groups or performing with my family . In high school, we had a clique called MAAAD KRU. Full of talented EMCEES, BBoys and DJ's. I sold alot of records with my homie Ray Ro and my cousin Koley's label Choppin Game Records too. But after evading prison over gun charges and losing my father to gun violance, I later felt that I wanted to express my lifestyle lyrically in a cinematic way. I feel I have a story to tell. I spit bars but i really spit scenes ...... scene by scene. Which will eventually be my truth and my movie. ......and the names will be changed to protect the innocent. lol nah frfr

i was a asst producer in a session with the legendary Benard Wright. He was the first person I ever saw make a beat on a computer. I stepped on a electrical strip and disconnected his whole setup and erased the whole track smh

whew... lol. Yes.... Still working on the counteract part Lol. But its necessary for success

Musically, I love hard beats but I love euphoric sounds and slightly progressive jazz themes. elaborate time signatures and scales. other than that ....just hard hitting beats
Lyrically,.... BARS and storytelling. I'm a fan of SLick Rick , Nas, Eminem, King Von , Ice Cube, Kendrick for this reason. The art of storytelling is almost lost. Even Stevie Wonder was amazing lyrically to me as a child when I would read the lyrics on the inside cover. it adds another dimension to the music your experiencing.

I would have to say on this project Tron Freestyle because its so futuristic but of all time "MERLOT MUSIC" off Merlot because it just talks about my love for music.

Nirvana. Goosebumps.... Flashbacks...... Daydreams. ...Outer body experiences. Euphoria.

The sacrifices you have to take in order to align yourself with success and successful people. You will have to put in all on the line without selling your soul.

G.O.A.T.s only!

I feel like musically, I always do something that I sit on and don't release and people end up doing it like 3 years later. So i've been blessed to have a. gift to think ahead of the curve without attempting to. Ill just say, my newer music will have more live instrumentation. .......cant give ya'll all the sauce lol. nah but fr doe

its changing. Artist represent cultural aspects now. Especially in hip hop. We represent community. Or atleast thats what it was designed to be.

im currently trying to expand my music theory on piano and guitar. You have to always seek to get better than you were . Japanese call this the Suzuki Method

Prince or Jaco Pastorius

I wouldnt. i would only describe it as an experience

the casino bathroom.

i'll just feel blessed to be back on tour

I promised to bring my father a Grammy to the family.
