Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

Rasheem Kincey "$heem" pronounced Sheem, is also known as sheemthadream is a edgy rapper who enjoys making “suckafree music” from his point of view.. His unique voice and delivery of different flows are the whisper your mp3 player seduces your speaker with. $heem is an independent artist Born in Boyton Beach FL who later moved to Enterprise AL at a preteen. He started cultivating his musical talents at the age of 7 rapping at churches and later began recording music. He has gone on record saying, "I used to rap then but that was a much smaller croud. So once I started recording, For me it was the thrill, challenge, and the sport of it. Nowadays while everybody wants to be that dude. I just want to be me. I still bring my attitude with me so I guess that is part of my ego."

Some of his early influence were Notorious BIG, Tupac, Scarface, Snoop Dogg, DMX, Twista, Method Man, Outkast, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, T.I. to name. By his
own indivuality and culture is quoted as saying,“when I was I young one, artist I followed entertained as
well as impressed me." His work can be found on all platforms and he is currently working on his collection of music produced and arranging projects

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

This song is heavily influenced by his backround because he shares the life experience of me losing my mother with the listener at the start as well as the dedication, and emotions that come along with persevering through any of life's obstacles.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

My earliest memory of listening to music was as a young child of 5 or 6. Back then I would always learn, remember, and sing every I liked that came on the radio.

What is your favorite work of art?
Answer:

I don't have a favorite work of art because I am a creator of art. I think of that like having a favorite child. You shouldn't have a favorite child to be fair to the others. You should love, appreciate, and respect each as their own.

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

My overaching goal as an artist is to reach fans, and aslo to have my music consistently played as well as make the charts and garner some form of public recogintion.

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

The main reason driving me to continue making music is my love, and passion for music and my personal expression.

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

The most significant lesson I've learned through being an artist is to keep an open mind, especially creatively.

Answer:

Answer:

I would define having an artistic outlook on life by learning and/or knowing how to take the positives out of any negative experience and working with that to make the most.

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

Yes, because I dedicate less time with the people I most love, but the enjoyment I get from sharing my music with the world and knowing that it gives them enjoyment makes it all worth while.

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

My other passions have reinforced my process of making music by applying what I've learned. For example, running my own business has taught me the intricacies all it take to run any operation.

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

These are some of the jobs that I have done other than being an artist: Maintenence Man, Financial Aid Assistant, Server, Construction Laborer, Stocker, Subcontractor

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

If I could alter the music industry in any way, I would make it so that everyone could afford the resouces it takes to make quality music as well as let the people decide what should be considered good music by allowing everyone to be heard

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

I'm never scared.

Name a song that best represents success to you, and why?
Answer:

The song that best represents me as an artist is "Damn Sho" because the song gives the listener some backstory to connect with the artist and the song also gives a feel for what to expect from $heem

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

Artist have a role in our society as influencers of the youth and society as a whole depending on what market to which demographic.

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

I plan on being a game changer within my genre by just being myself. I was born a unique person, and some of the tough experiences I've gone through in life just make me more unique as well as give me more to talk about.

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

My definition of success is determined by serveral factors and question. Does my music help somone? Is my fanbase growing? Am I able to support myself and my family? Am I charting? Am I garnering recognition and/or public accolades?

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

My most memorable response came most recently before releasing the single "Damn Sho." I played the song for many close friends and they all said, "You got something, thats gone get you outta here". Another of which said, " You need to put that on youtube today"

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

Yes I practice regularly in free time. However, how much freetime I have definately changes at times. Music has always been something that I've done secondarilly, Due to school and/or work. For the past 10 years, I've been running a construction business primarilly.

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Clever, Energetic, and Fun

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

The Radio

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

I want people to feel instant joy and exitement when they listen to my music.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

My dream performance starts with me coming out recieved to applause and high energy. Opening with songs that everyone knows, while keeping the audience involved entertained and engaged to later drop a surprise new single which is recieved well and finally ending with me walking off knowing that everyone was entertained and had a good time.

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

At a Kid's Birthday party was the strangest place I discovered a new song.

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

Lil Wayne

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

I won't say i have a favorite song because I look at all my songs like my kids but I do expect the song "Damn Sho" to do the best to date.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

If I could only listen to three artists for the rest of my life it would be Lil Wayne, Jeezy, and Nas because I listen to classic hiphop too much already but if it wasn't much to listen to I would want enjoy something in the song other than the beat. Away from the music, creatively and lyrically, they would give me alot of variety to listen to and still enjoy later.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

If I could attend a performance by any artist dead or alive it would be DMX because I would would love to see that show. DMX was a master at evoking and controlling emotion from the crowd.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I first decided to become an artist after my first season of collegiate basketball at Alabama A&M university where I was cut.

Hip hop, rap, trap, conscious

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

In the past three years my sound and style has improved such as my ear to be able to bring the listener the best quality possible.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

If I could go on tour with any artist it would be Lil Wayne because he is a legend and he's still at it.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

If I had to describe my music to someone who has never heard it I would say that my music is a harmonious blend of instrumental and flow with engaging lyrics performed by a unique voice that resonates with the listener to make their head bob.
