DaVion Luv Perspective on Rebel Soul - Acapella Version

I am DaVion Luv & I am an independent contemporary r&b singer-songwriter

Ever since I was 9-10 years old, I've always felt so different than the majority of people that I've met. Sadly, at that age, it dimmed the way I viewed my worth & physical appearance, I thought that if everyone couldn't relate to me (in some way) that it equated to me as not being good enough or worthy of appreciation. Fortunately, I've recently done A LOT of soul searching and inner healing, so much to the point that I realize that even if I'm singing "my song" all alone, no one may know the words, but as long as I've put my heart and soul in it, they'll at least listen. So it connects to me spiritually, as well as sonically. Knowing that a lot of battles that I've faced or will face in life, will be endured by just me, myself, and I. Though it can suck, like really really bad at times, I know that my resilience will shine through.

My earlier memories of music were from watching the Disney classics, from Pocahontas to Hercules, and the Landlord Before Time movies to Lion King. Around that time period, it's the mid to late 90s, and I adored Michael Jackson, aiming to mimic his stage presence, learn his choreography, understand his integrity, he is the reason that I aimed to be an artist.

I officially decided in 2016, when I "felt" the calling for a poetic, romantic type of artist name, which is how I came up with DaVion Luv (spelt incorrectly on purpose, due to my own imperfections, that I've learned to cope & grow with). And DaVion (pronounced Day- Vee-On) which means "beloved".

The Acapella Version of 'Rebel Soul' gives slight Jazz mixed with elements of blues & neo soul vibes. So I'd assume that would be contemporary r&b?
