Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

My names is Emmanuel Melendez "Eme", a passionate reggaeton artist and songwriter from Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. I create music that blends infectious beats with heartfelt lyrics, aiming to connect with listeners on both the dance floor and a deeper emotional level. My journey in the music industry started when I was 14 years old, and since then, I’ve dedicated myself to bringing fresh and dynamic sounds to the reggaeton scene. Whether it’s through energetic performances or writing for other artists, my goal is to keep pushing the boundaries of the genre and sharing my unique perspective with the world.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

"Baby gangster " came from those beautiful woman's  who have this street connections without lose their beauty. 

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

That is a nice one! I came from house where my parents don't like reggaeton music, my mother give me a Cassette of Tego Calderon, el abastarde and I hide in the laundry with headphones just to listen.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

At the age of 11 I write my first song in memory of my mother who pass when I have that age.... when I turn 15 me and a group of friends go to the first studio ever and when feel the headphones and saw the mic, that energy I just get addicted to that sensation.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Is 100% reggaeton! 

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

A lot! From combinations of new worlds to hidden messages! Is or goal keep the puertorriqueño roots alive at least our vibe!

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

Deep as love, tragedy, hearth broken, happiness or just something you can dedicate to someone.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

That's a hard one! I enjoy and I'm fan of too many puertorican artists, but I think: Don Omar!

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

Especial, rest in peace jadiel el incomparable. His music transport me to that lovely era of mines.

Enjoyable, dance, depends of the attention you put any how you will enjoy it, rhythm or lyrics is just magic!

Answer:

Big a lot of fireworks! With all my friends simulating that corner where we talk about our dreams

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

That they can identify like they write the song by himself

Answer:

Energetic, humble, flavor

Answer:

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

Usually I write every day no matter what I have to work in a song, I just let me feelings flow, before I even do that! 

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

For Hollywood movie! 

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

My definition of success is when a artis enjoy what they doing. When they smile, dance means they don't feel the pressures and the way I measures the success is when I see my surroundings grow. They we doing everything by the book.

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

Genre change with time, I'm looking be me 100% and don't stop no meter what the circumstances. We came to enjoy and that's what we gonna do! 

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

We are the time messenger we going with the wave of the trend in the new era...

Answer:

"Hades" was choose for a movie, soon you will know! 

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

Contracts! With big labels! I was so scare but and the  end was a lot of money but, I will be trap for a long period of time so I decide stay as independient.

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?
Answer:

One day I write a song for my best friend so he can dedicate to his girlfriend, thing is I was in college and I sing the song in the middle and she was thing was from me to her.... and I just was the message jajaj

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

Be more fair between this big pros and independents artist 

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

I'm a register nurse, live safe lives! I never said but yea I am! 

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

I love play baseball I love my team! We have fun! 

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

No thank god. I have a wonderful team who respect my free time so I can have a good balance with my personal life.

How would you define having an artistic outlook on life?
Answer:

Challenge, you need to take care of

your self first! 

What is your favorite work of art?
Answer:

Alárgame la vida from Jadiel el incomparable alway I listen to that song my mind just fly... I'm kind of romantic person deep inside!

Answer:

Everything what involves real stories or a mix of metaphor with reality!

Waow, I think Eme Is Eme. Is a lot good artist outside that I enjoy as a fan... but I think everyone have something special, unique.

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

Time management!

Answer:

My dreams! 

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

My goal is travel all the world with my siblings. And recap when we talk about this. And is going to happen!
