Who are you and what do you do?

Answer:

MONSTROE or Stroe One hails from the Crenshaw District of Los Angeles. Monstroe was inspired by Hip Hop at a very early age and his first passion was Graffiti.

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

He went through some hard times in and out of the LA jail system.

It wasn’t until his addiction got out of control and he got sent to prison for a few years He now has 13 years clean and sober and has worked as an addiction counselor, and is currently a case worker in Skid row DTLA.
