Calabasas Perspective on Those Were The Days

Those Were The Days probably falls a little more into the alternative space. Its so washy and kind of just makes you feel like you are floating.

It's changed alot. When we started we were mostly a hip hop duo. But as time went on and we experimented with our sound more and more we found alot of peace in what we are making now. I guess you can say its pop but to us its all just more of a vibe than a genre.

When we first met each other after some time doing solo work we found a chemistry that was unmatched and we felt like we just needed to share it.

We have roots in both Hawaii and California which lends to the laid back and nostalgic nature of our music.

We are a songwriting and production duo living in Los Angeles

We like to play alot with memory. Theres a lot of common ground most people share when it comes to looking back. We love to over romanticize and over think and thats something we think alot of people can relate to.

It Scratches the itch. You can't really describe why but you recognize the feeling anywhere.

If the sings keep getting better thats the only way we measure success.

We want people to feel comfortable. Art inspires alot of different emotion. To us the best is when you can turn a song on and feel like its somewhere you belong in that moment.

If what you create of if what inspires you comes from your everyday pursuit. Its the little details in life that can be turned into something magical.

I think it definitely can, but when you change your perspective and start making art to be shared and try to reinforce within yourself that its something you love and not something you are afraid to have criticized, than you can find peace in knowing art brings about community.

We just want people to be happy when they listen to us.
