Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

Jaay Daay, I'm a singer/songwriter 

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

I fell so deeply for this girl when I was younger. The girl and I had a drug problem. The drugs were fun when she was around but after she was gone.. I no longer enjoyed doing drugs. In fact they started making me anxious and sick when I'd do them. It was nothing crazy though. Just psychedelics and a lot of weed. okay... maybe a some girl here and there.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

I couldn't even tell you. I first fell in love with music listening to heartless by Ye West though.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I was 11 and i really liked this girl so I wrote her a song and recorded it on a cassette tape

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Heavy indie rock vibes

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

I've always sat and taken the time to make every line quotable or relatable. I usually won't even record it If I don't think it sounds good. Even if it sounds good to others. I have always made both rap and indie music, but It has only gotten better through the years.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

The focus in my music is usually self reflection or just vibes In between

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

That's hard because I want to be realistic. The artist it makes sense for me to tour with is Trippie redd or MGK. A dream would be Ye or Tyler, the creator.

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

Tyler, the creator is probably the greatest story teller of all time when it comes to this music shit.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

Melancholy but cool

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

I would choose X. He has inspired me in ways everyone can hear and understand.

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

Probably Is It You?? That was the first time I ever executed exactly what was going on without having to spice the story up. 

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Kanye, Tyler, the creator, and summer walker. I feel like those are artists I can't get tired of. Still over it STILL isn't my favorite though.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

Stadiums. Enough said.

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

Everyone will say drake but... I'm definitely everybody 😂

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?
Answer:

From siblings bc the listen to some garbage some times.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

Every emotion the song can provide. That's why I do it all. If youre not in the mood for one song I have another that will hit that spot. What ever that may be.

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Inspirational, influential, and intellectual 

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

In person or on a stage

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

I don't practice. Every time I make a song I get better. That's my "practice ".

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

People not fucking with me before I went on stage and when I got off they were all dapping me and showing love.

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

When I can finally feed my family off my passion that's when I'll feel successful.

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

By offering multiple vibes. Whether it be rap or indie idk. My mood will tell.

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?
Answer:

Emotional support 

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

Definitely showing up alone to an event and then performing 

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

I was a firefighter for 5 years until I broke my back. I've been an exterminator, a back line cook, Amazon driver, basically everything you can name bc in those places I never belong. I loved being a public servant but that was cut short. 

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

Mostly bc I believe in myself. I hear what the signed artists are putting out and I'm just simply better.

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

To save lives. To change lives. To feed my family. That's all I want fr.
