Capital Ferg Perspective on Rebound

Well, the beat I put together was definitely reggaeton, but the vocals and rapping blend it with R&B, pop, and traditional hip hop. I guess that's my thing. At the root of most of my songs is hip hop, but I will draw on all kinds of music, styles, melodies to create a sound I like.

Love of the craft. I enjoy starting with a blank canvas and seeing what it turns into! It's a mystery to me how it's going to end up when I start a new song. I write in all kinds of different ways: sometimes start with a poem, other times make a beat, and even write a melody in my head or on my guitar and then translate it into a recording. It's not formulaic at all, which is what is most enjoyable to me. Hearing the end product and then thinking back on all the twists and turns that led to the final song is a lot of fun.
