Sumthing Strange Perspective on Faith

I'm am Johnny and I'm one of the founding members in Sumthing Strange. I write the music along side of my music partner and best friend Alex. I produce, mix and master the music as we as the play synths and guitar. 

This song was written for my daughter Faith. It's pretty wonderful bringing a new life into this world and I will cherish her for the rest of my life. 

I grew up in a music family with my father, Tony Santoro, being a super talented musician and role model. I picked up the guitar at 13 years of age and started hearing music as a toddler. Unfortunately he passed at the age of 40. 

At the age of 17 my twin brother and I decided to start a band that embarked an adventure that we both did not ever imagine. We started to perform shortly after the inception

Alternative pop rock with a twist of new wave influence. This track is a ballad.

The sound has incorporated more guitars in the last 3 years so that would be how it's evolved but the sound has pretty much stayed strong and true to how we want it to be and that has a lot to do with the lead vocal tone. 

Well, that's a big list and some of those artist are not alive anymore but let's stick with what could happen. U2 would be a great match for us, Coldplay, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode. These are few artists that we would love to tour with because we believe that their fans would gel with our style of music.

I would say that it's very likable style of music and that style falls under the genres of Alternative music with pop elements and new wave influences. The vocals are usually what really stand out and with Alex and his strong low tone of voice he definitely stands out. 

David Bowie because he was so different and quirky. It would be incredible to just experience that energy in person.

We try and produce atmospheric sounds and "straight from the heart" lyrics.
