Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

Singer, rapper and producer. SaraSoUnique is the name and the music industry is her game.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

Runnin Up the Check is about going through rough times with family and wanting a better way out from the struggle. People say "money can't by happiness" but some of my happiness times in life when I'm really happy/blessed, I'm runnin up the check!

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

Ahw mann. What is my earliest memory? That's tough cause my mom said I was playing the drums in her womb lol but fr. I've been listening to music since a baby for as long as I can remember anything. It was probably in church as a little baby.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I've always wanted to rap since I was like 7 years old. I would just make up stuff that rhymed even if it wasn't a song I heard before or even if it wasn't on beat, I'd just say stuff that sounded like rap music and pretend to be a rapper in my room. I had to be like 5 years old. I've been singing since I was around 2 or 3. I just started putting out music on all streaming platforms in like 2021. That's when I started really poppin online and at work around my friends and coworkers.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Hip hop

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

It's evolved a lot. I've learned a lot about myself and how to listen more to myself when I'm recording and make the final adjustments I want to hear in my music. Sometimes I mess around with singing a little lower or higher or saying words a certain way to see what sounds better while my voice is being recorded.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

I would have to say, my friends that do music. I say that because we've been through a lot together and I wanna see us make it together. Other than that, whoever wants to go on tour with me is who I'd probably want to go on tour with. Big shout out to Nicki, Chris, Fetty Wap, a lot of Gospel artists and all them great people lol.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

I'd say it's positive, unique, raw and catchy. My music a lot of times will have a message in it. Other times I'm just having fun catching a vibe with my people.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Myself (of course), Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and since I probably don't count lol, Tasha Cobbs. Myself because I love my music, it's what I do and it's from my heart so why not? Chris Brown because he's so full of flavor and talent and I just love his vibes and his voice is outta this world. Nicki Minaj because she's not afraid to be herself and just speak her mind and have fun when she raps. She's so skilled in her word play while rapping and I learned a lot about word play in rap music today. She makes you think. Sometimes I don't even catch her word play until like months or years later, that's crazy. She's a beast.

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

My passion for it. It's what I hear laying down. It's what I hear in my dreams. It's what I wake up to do after dreaming about a song I never heard before in my life.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

I want them to feel alive and full of inspiration to keep going no matter what. I want people to feel like there's hope for a brighter day no matter what things look like right now. I want people to feel like their life is worth living.
