Where do you get your inspiration from?
Answer:

I'm inspired by everyday life. I write about things that I know and by my observations.

Why is your producing/establishing company named TRINTRIN production?
Answer:

Trin Trin Publishing is named for my 11 year-old daughter. Her name is Trinitee 

 

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Michael Jackson, because he is the greatest!

Do you practice? How has your practice changed over time?
Answer:

I practice specifically, for projects and recordings, not general skills. 

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

Sting, the variety of music.

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

Being signed by Cecil Holmes President/CEO of Chocolate City/Casablanca Records.

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

The lessons I have learned from being an artist go back as far as 1973; believe in yourself, compare yourself to no one, and believe you are the best at being you. Don't become disillusioned by things you read in the press or on social media. 

Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

I am an artist, songwriter, and producer. My record label is entitled INDY DR. I publish with ASCAP through TRIN TRIN Publishing.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

My rhythmic and musical influences for this song include dance music from past artists such as Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind & Fire, Parliament Funkadelic, and other R&B groups from the '70s and '80s

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

'60s rock bands and R&B artists

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I started recording in New York at the age of 16. One of my first sessions was in a room full of world-renowned music executives, including Clive Davis.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

This album is a mixture of contemporary, R&B, pop, and jazz music.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

The upgrades to my home studio equipment have resulted in a more expansive sound and intricate arrangements.

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

"I love music that has a funky vibe with a hint of jazz."

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

"Love, social justice, and happiness" is a phrase that emphasizes the importance of these three values in our lives. It implies that a fulfilling life can only be achieved through love, fairness, and contentment.

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

"If you want it go on and get it",  take action to achieve it. This requires a proactive and can-do attitude.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

Sting, Jimi Hendrix, and Buddy Miles Band created music ranging from ensemble to big band productions.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

A large venue with thousands of people backed by a full complement of orchestral and electric instruments. 

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

Sting

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

Excitement, intense emotions, and a strong sense of identification with the subject matter.

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

I love to perform live in any type of setting.

Answer:
