My style has stayed the same. I stick to who I am I don’t change my style to sound like anything else. That’s worked in my favor all this time I can’t see that changing now.

I’ve always recited poems and wrote lines since a child. As I got older I just wrote to release stress. I guess between the 8th and 9th grade ( during the DJ Screw era) I started having aspirations to be an artist.
My grandfather played the blues so when his friends came to my grandparents house they would play music and play cards all night. I was very very young but I remember the music.
All the ups and downs in life leads you to either have faith things will get better or just indulge in the negativity. This song is about giving your problems to God and having faith things will get better. That’s why it’s called “Confess”.
