John Beasley Wallace Perspective on Down By The River

I worked out the chord progression and went from there. I recorded the guitar then added bass, drums and piano to the song. I create music for my clients and I did this one just for fun.

I work well with collaborators and by myself. I enjoy the input and creativity from others and I implement some ideas for my work.

Probably the production, I produce music for a living and I love it. It gives me the freedom to enjoy my work and make changes to my projects without being afraid of trying new things.

Logic Pro X was the DAW I used for this particular project. It gives me the ability to make mistakes without worrying about losing anything. I use Pro Tools in my studio and it can be a pain when you accidentally delete something or lose a plugin.

Take breaks when doing your final mixes so you don't get ear fatigue.

The fastest I've produced a song is 45 minutes. It was for a college project and I was running out of time to turn it in. I had to think fast and then I just let my creativity flow and got it done.

I'm a 52 year old musician who loves music with a passion. I have been playing music since I was seven years old and started with piano lessons and then taught myself how to play drums around the same time. I play guitar and bass guitar also. I have played on the road for years and have played country, rock, metal, and southern gospel to name a few genres. I'm too old to tour so I opened a recording studio and now I produce music.

It gave me the skills and knowledge to produce this track with my ability to play many different instruments and genres.

Around 4-5 years old.

They have made it easier to access new music and to distribute it. The have also put CD"s in the ice ages. They are great for musicians to promote their music and gain an audience with great exposure. They have also had a negative influence on music in the aspect of compensation from downloads of illegal content. The fact is that they are both good and bad for musicians. Only time will tell whether it balances out or not.

I enjoy posting my work online, it gives me a great feeling when people give good feedback and advice on my work.
