Kymrence Young Perspective on Cryin In The Benz

I was in a very abusive relationship and I found myself daydreaming of packing up my bags, and leaving them, driving off in a Benz. I thought, 'how can I cry and hurt while having a Benz?! I'm clearly successful and better off than what I'm leaving behind.'

I wanted to relate to those who visualize leaving a horrible person or situation for something better. I had so much stress and pain inside at the time, I had no choice but to pour into a song that lets me feel unapologetic about leaving and doing what's best for me. 

Knowing that I'm bringing people together that may silently go through the same things, and I can be a voice, that fulfills me. I love the human experience we have when music just hits the same. When we hear that one song we relate to....it just creates a safe atmosphere. 

This is deeply rooted in R&B but also has an edgy hip hop or trap feel as well.

I would love to tour with Kehlani or Sza. Jhene Aiko is also a dream to match with musically!
