Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

My name is Plain Jane & I am a hip-hop/rnb artist based out of the DMV area.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

It's a learning experience for both the listeners & myself. I go through life mostly doubting myself & in this instance I'm taking my power back.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

I've always sang around the house as a child. I come from a very musical family so music is in my bloodline. Correcting my parents by the age of 4 if they hit a bad note . LOL !

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

Honstely I've always battled with the thought . It was only 2 years ago when I chose to just deep dive into it.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Hip Hop all the way! I was feeling very nostalgic with this one.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

I'm always challenging myself to go against the grain & be more comfortable in just being me. As I evolved, I just grow more into my own swag. And that is evolution at its finest.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

Man, EVERYTHING !

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

Hands down , no questions asked ... its going to be my spiritual mother, Erykah Badu. I've alway admired her demeanor & style. The EP this song is on is actually heavily inspired by her.

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

It's relatable & genuine. Almost anybody can grasp relatablility from her music.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

It's definitely nothing that anyone has heard before. And it's wide range. You'll never know what youre going to hear next from me.
