Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?

Answer:

I am a disabeled Veteran. Creating music is a theraputic outlet for me.

I do not stick to one genre, which may be deemed problametic to some.

I believe it shows may talent and skillset to adapt to musics' evolution.

It also shows that I have a wide range of taste in music, which translates in my production.

What is your overarching goal as an artist?

Answer:

My goal is to create full projects with no skippable content.I also do not stick to one genre.

I produce Hip Hop, R & B, Lo-Fi. EDM , Sync, and Alternative music.

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?

Answer:

The songs I produce that are my personal favorites are less popular with the masses,compared to the songs I don't care for.I see this with many artists and producers.The songs we hate are usually the ones that the fans love,lol

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?

Answer:

I am an only child and I am comfortable with being alone.I may work for hours at a time on a single song and you can't force inspiration.

Some people don't understand that.Sometimes being creative brings me more joy than actually interacting with people.

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?

Answer:

My mixes sounding like crap , until I learned my room.

I had to adjust to using the right monitors and headphones, and applying proper EQ to instruments/sounds

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?

Answer:

I would bring back originality, the freedom of radio DJ's to play what the want, and to encourage, cultivate, and push artist that sound unique.

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?

Answer:

Someone told me my song was Potent and Basic, that's like being ugly, yet stunning at the same time.

It could also be compared to a loud fart, in a quiet place that does not stink, lol

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?

Answer:

I want them to feel like they discovered a new artist that will never let them down artistically/musically.

I want them to relate to the emotion of the tracks, as I try to create stories with sounds

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?

Answer:

Too many to list because I have several in different genres

Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem, Lup,e Fiasco, Black Thougt ,Tierra Whack, H.E.R. Robert Glasper,Yebba,Lily Young .....to name a many!

What genres does this release play into?

Answer:

Lo-Fi , although not my main gnre of music production

Who are you and what do you do?

Answer:

I am Traes His Traxx-music producer, audio engineer, sound designer, and voice over actor.

I cover multiple genres of music production including: Hip Hop, R & B, and EDM.

My production focuses mour on the sub genres of each music category I listed above

Hip Hop( Boom Bap, Alternative, Glitch and Lo Fi)

R & B( 90s and Neo Soul)

EDM ( Classic House, Synthwave, Drum & Bass)
