Who are you and what do you do?

KalaRay is a music arist of rap, hip hop, coutry, pop and r&b.

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

This song was inspired by my husband. He is the biggest part of my life over anything or anyone.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?

Answer:

Music has been a huge art of my life growing up. Ive enjoyed singing my entire life.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?

Answer:

since elementary school its been my dream to be apart of the music industry. I started choir in the 3rd grade and stuck with it till my last year of high school. In high school i also received professional voice lessons once a week for about a year. It wasnt until about a year ago i actually starting writing lyrics and decided i needed to focus on music more.

Answer:

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?

Answer:

I have gotten a wider range of different genres. Before a year ago i never would tell anyone that i could rap or consider myself a rapper of any sort but since ive opened up to it as an option, most of my songs i rap in

What themes do you explore throughout your music?

Answer:

My husband has always been my biggest inspiration for writing music but i often write about whats going on in my everyday life. I put all my emotion, feelings, stresses, happy moments Ect into my lyrics

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?

Answer:

If i could go on tour with any artist i would have to pick dax. I find so much of his music relatable and inspiring. I also love the way he is always trying to engage with fans

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?

Answer:

Id describe it as very catchy, deep and meaningful. Also very fast pace

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?

Answer:

My music has a wide variety of genre that includes rap, hip hop, r&b, country and pop. my lyrics all come from my experiences in life and thres nothing ive ever written that wasnt something i no about, have lived or experienced. My music comes straight from my heart

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?

Answer:

I would love to see dax in concert one day just because i look up to him so much as an artist

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?

Answer:

This is my favorite song ive made as an artst. No only do i love my subject but i also think its a great song structure and its catchy.

If you could only listen to three artists for the rest of your life, who would you choose and why?

Answer:

Dax, Mac streetz, and luke combs. All 3 are artists that i absolutely love all their songs but i can also relate to a ot of their music

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?

Answer:

To me success is measured by 2 things in th music industry. One is making money and the other is feedback.
