I'm Morris Northcutt, a versatile trumpet soloist and clinician known for my lyrical playing style that seamlessly blends classical and jazz influences. Recently, I've joined the ranks of Schilke Trumpet Performing Artists, expanding my musical journey while continuing to perform, teach, and inspire others through my unique approach and sound to the trumpet.

I'm Davide Perico, currently composer of music for games and films, after many years spent as a producer and foh engineer for many important bands. I also love producing lofi music, every day, mixing the old dust with the sound of the orchestra in my beats

My life has been eventful, different jobs to get to build my dream... Waiter, fisherman, foh engineer, producer, luxury event manager... And for the past three years, I've been a full-time composer.

Before fully embracing my career as a trumpet artist, I engaged in various roles outside the artistic realm. These included practical and hands-on jobs, like cleaning toilets, renting rooms, repairing and light maintenance for my parents' motel, which taught me the value of hard work and diligence. Additionally, I developed skills in cooking, not just as a hobby but as a useful skill outside of music. These diverse experiences have contributed to my grounded perspective and work ethic, enriching my approach to both life and music.

The defining moment in my journey towards becoming an artist was when I discovered Harry James, the renowned trumpet soloist from the Big Band Era. His music sparked a deep fascination in me for the trumpet, and I became dedicated to mastering the instrument, aiming to make it sing with the expressiveness of a human voice. This pursuit of lyrical artistry on the trumpet set me on the path to becoming the artist I am today, constantly exploring and blending various musical styles.

Over the last three years, my sound and style have evolved significantly, marked by a deeper integration of diverse musical influences and a refined expressive quality. Embracing the role of a Schilke Trumpet Performing Artist, I have further honed my technique and sound, ensuring a more nuanced and dynamic range in my performances. The release of my album "Tonada" was a pivotal moment in this evolution, as it encapsulated my studies, passions, and life experiences, and featured collaborations with Venezuelan musicians, adding a rich, multicultural dimension to my music. This period has been one of artistic growth, allowing me to push the boundaries of traditional trumpet playing and explore new, emotive ways of musical expression.

Yes, the main driving force behind my continued journey in music is the profound desire to express and connect emotionally through my art. The trumpet, for me, is not just an instrument; it's a voice that transcends words, capable of conveying the deepest emotions and experiences. Every note played is an opportunity to tell a story, evoke an emotion, and share a piece of my life, making each performance not just a display of skill, but a meaningful interaction with listeners. This deep-seated need to communicate and touch lives through the universal language of music is what keeps me inspired and committed to my craft.

Morris and I are very similar in this respect. I also love to tell, or rather I need to tell. My music wants to be simple and direct to the heart. Music has put a damper on my fears and uncertainties, so I know the power of music, and I hope that mine can bring relief to other people's lives.
