Paris Hodges Perspective on Time For The Daily Walk (TDW)

Time For The Daily Walk (TDW) is my first, only, and favorite song. I made the song for my 8 month old daughter who loves being outside. The song is an invitation to embrace the timeless tradition of walking and, in doing so, fostering wellness and community. It's a gentle nudge to leave behind the distractions of screens and schedules. My hope is that "Time for the Daily Walk" inspires families and individuals alike to embark on their own daily walk, to breathe in the fresh air, and to take that first step towards a healthier, happier life.

My most memorable response I've had to my song is having people stop me in the street to sing my song to me. I love it and hope people continue to listen and engage in the Time For The Daily Walk community. Please follow us on Instagram and Tik Tok @TimeForTheDailyWalk.

My goal as an artist to leave a lasting impression on my daughter and people around the world. As the song was made for my daughter I hope it is a timeless reminder of how much I love her. I hope she will play it for her children one day! As for the world, I hope it encourages people to get outside, decompress and venture on a daily walk!

I am relatively new to the world of music. This is my first song and admittedly I am a part time artist. I've been in finance for the past 5 years. I started out in Fixed Income underwritting commericial real estate then moved to Leveraged Finance where I helped issue high yield bonds and term loans for non-investment grade companies. After that, I spent time in private wealth managment teaching college athletes the basics of budgeting, savings, and investing. In my current role, I support underrepresented startup founders through a five month accelerator program.

My name is Paris Hodges. I come from the Shinnecok Nation in Southampton, NY and I am the mother of a beautiful eight month old baby girl. As a Native American woman I deeply value community, family, respect, kindness and giving back. If you are ever wondering where I am, I am normally with a family member hanging out and having fun. I enjoy spending time with my daughter, family, playing basketball and meeting new people!

My earliest memory of music is at our annual Shinnecok Powwow. When I close my eyes I can see and hear the sounds of my culture. The host drum, Young Blood Singers, and the beauty of the dancers from across the country. When I hear the sound of the drum and the vocals of the native american singers I am immediately comforted, healed and whole.

Time For The Daily Walk is a mix between Hip Hop, Pop and Children's music. It is a song for all ages. It is catchy and makes you want to sing along.

Fun, upbeat, bop

In anticipation of this release, I shared my song with my mommy friends, family and music lover friends for their honest feedback.
