What production elements do you believe are necessary to making a great song?
Answer:

People like to say that a good beat makes a good song. I disagree. Beats are like canvases that artists paint on. Some artists paint well, while other artists will hand you back a Picasso and call it a hit record. With that being said, it’s all about what you put on the canvas. It’s all about what lyrics are being written for the canvas. So songwriting is at the base of my artistry.

Describe the fastest time in which you completed the writing and production process.
Answer:

Certain beats create inspirational moments that motivate one to write a song quickly. I don't measure the speed in which a song is written, but the quality in which a song is written. More often than not, I would complete a song without even having a beat for it. Then the challenge is to find a canvas to put my masterpiece on.

Timberland, DJ Just Blaze, and 9th wonder.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. Prior to moving migrating to California, my family came from the south. I am proud of my southern heritage. I was raised on southern hospitality. As such, I grew up with my grandfather listening to George Straight and BB King.

I was served in the US Army, where most of our bases are in the south. With that being said, I have fallen victim to a southern bells charm from time to time.

Also, my mom loves country music. She also used to dance on soul train. So, I had to make a record for moms and her soul train friends to dance to.
