JR Guayo Perspective on All They Know

Well, oddly enough I am a military officer in the US Air Force who simply loves to produce music.  I've been writing songs consistently now for about two years but I've been involved in all aspects of music since I can remember. 

I clearly remember listening to Kansas, Rush, Toto, and other classics as a kid on a tape recorder and on my brother's stereo system.

So I needed to  "find something to do" during all those hours we spent in isolation during the COVID times.  For as long as I can remember, producing my own music has been on my bucket list ("one of these days..."). Given that today we have the tools to produce in your own basement, and the opportunities to easily share content in the digital domain, it seemed to me that it was the right time to go after this, and I'm very glad I did! 

This is always a tough question.  There are SOO MANY genres these days that I never know what is the right fit.  In one word, this is ROCK.  Now, is it alternative, indie, classic, bla bla bla,,,,  I don't think I'll ever know.  

My goal is simple, continue to produce, share, and hopefully make someone happy with my art.  As Oliver Wendell wrote, “Many people die with their music still in them.”  I want to push out as much music as I can with the all precious time I have left.  Cheers and Enjoy!
