Dmts Perspective on Prime Time
I love to talk about real life issues. pain, story teeling and being consciously woke. It could be things in my life, a friends life or somthing going on in the world i love to stick to real life thems...
I would have to say Kendrick lamar and J cole. Their energy, messge and music talks to the same people im talking to. I have watched both of them grow into these amazing humans from starting as just great rappers to evolving into inspiring powerful Artist with content that empowers people and that will last forever. Thats who i am!
Its more than just music, its a life guide with many diffrent chapters. A blue print that you can really listen to and not only be inspired but educated as well. His stories are relatable in so many ways from a young kid growing up in poverty of any kind not just the hood, from investment deals to buisness. His music is so deep you have to listen to over and over somtimes just to understand the words and connection hes making. I would say dont just take my word for it or the word of anyone, go take a listen for your self. His name is Shawn Carter, aka Jay-Z.
A life experience of pain transformed into a story of inspiration, education and love. I make music to do 2 things one is to express the thoughts and feelings i have and two to inspire, educate and uplift other people.
"A Mothers Pain" is one of my favorite and best songs ive created for one reason and one reason only its about some of the hardest times i had to face in my life. That song tells the real story of me growing up in a hard enviorment and being in and out of jail from age 11 to age 22. I talk about the hard times and the dark times i had to go through for many years and to be where im at today is inspiring to myself. Also my mother and grandmother is in that video two of the most beautiful and loving women in my life.
2 Pac..... Because his energy is life changing....
Jay-Z, Kendrick and J cole.... Because their music is timeless and it talks to your sole.. Also i have to add Drake...
My Dream performance is on a big stage in Africa infront of millios of people talking about unity, building buisnessses, ownership and changing lives with music and oppertunties...
I want people to feel like they can make it through anything and everthing that seems hard. I wamt them to feel like there still hope for unity in this world and that blacks and whites can work togeather and live togeather in peace. I want them to feel like they just left school and a spirtual class with positive enrgy running pass their body.
Im an Artist, Entrepernur, Philanthropist & Family man first. I love to create platforms and buisnesses that impact people while using my music and voice to reach the masses.
Being a young African American Male, my families history and my life growing up in poverty and in a world of race plays a big part of my life. Prime Time is a song that touches on the hard times we had to face and are still facing today as a people. It also highlights the mental strength we had to have to keep pushing dispite the all the roadblocks and setback we had to deal with because the color of our skin.
I started listening to music as young as 5/6 years old. I remeber my mom cleaning the house blasing The jackson 5, The Temptations and some Marvin Gaye. Also one of my best friends house was like a mini record store his nana had every kind of music you can think of and i spent a lot of time at his house.
The very moment i seen 2 Pac on TV talking about the issues we face as a communty and as black people in the form of music at that moment i wanted to become an artist that can use my voice to impower othe people.
Hiphop, Rap and World Music.
My music has always been a reflection of my life and i have been evolving as a person everyday. With everything going on in the world today and everthing i had to learn as a buisness owner, leader of a non profit, husban and father has allowed me to elavate my music sound and lyrics as an Artist.
