Rachel Mason (L.A.) is an eclectic performance artist / singer, songwriter and filmmaker. She also holds a Masters degree in Sculpture from Yale University. Mason has recorded 14 albums and written 3 innovative operas.
Mason has performed at Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit and Kunsthalle Zürich. In NYC, she has taken the stage at e.g. Avenue Armory, the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center, Art in General, Dixon Place and Galapagos Art Space.
She has been featured in publications, such as The New York Times, Village Voice, Los Angeles Times, Flash Art, Art in America, Art News and Artforum.
Mason's work has been shown at several institutions, including School of the Art Institute (Chicago); Henry Gallery (Seattle); University Art Museum (Buffalo); Hessel Museum of Art (Bard)...
In 2017, The Sublunar Society and Rachel Mason signed a record deal. Mason's album Das Ram was re-released and soon after her quirky comment concerning Donald Trump, Time to Resign Feat. Donald Trump, was dropped on Sublunar. In 2018, Sublunar has released Patrick P's remix single with Mason, Heaven.
