Delivering a stylish mix of pop, rap, and dance in the 2010s, singer/songwriter Naz Tokio collaborated with artists including
CeeLo Green and
Iggy Azalea before coming to greater pop culture prominence in 2018 on the reality TV show Ashlee + Evan.
Tokio surfaced in the early 2010s, performing on songs including the 2012
Iggy Azalea and
Pusha T collaboration "Runway". She also appeared on
CeeLo Green's "Love Gun," which appeared in the 2012 movie One for the Money. Two years later, she worked with Heroes x Villains (aka HXV) on the track "Illusions." One of her biggest successes came in 2015, when "Save Me," a collaboration with
LISTENBEE, went double platinum and peaked at number 36 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart and 100 million streams on Spotify. The following year, Tokio reunited with HXV for the duet "Novocaine". Tokio's collaboration with Eric Zayne, "Snow in L.A." appeared on the Daddy's Home 2 soundtrack. In September 2018, Tokio released "Samson," a collaboration with singer/songwriter Lauren Hashian; a few weeks later, she began appearing on
Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross' reality TV series Ashlee + Evan as a close friend of the couple. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
