About:
Michael Brondstetter an Americana-based singer/songwriter from San Diego, California who blends, folk, pop, rock, blues, with other influences is currently catching the attention of a global audience that loves well-written original music. His sonic territory is what some call the Topanga Canyon Sound, which integrates his lifetime in Southern California and has drawn comparisons to the band Dawes and icons like Jackson Browne along with modern stars including John Mayer, Chris Stapleton, and Dave Matthews. That sound, along with an excellent voice and high-level songwriting skills, has allowed Brondstetter to receive over a million plays on Spotify, tour throughout the USA, appear on many morning TV shows, and play important L.A. venues including The Mint, Genghis Cohen, The Bootleg, Bar 20, Pig N Whistle, and The Lost Knight.
Michael writes to tell stories. Songs like “Dark Cloud Blues” or James Bay's cover of “Let It Go” from his last EP Change Your Mind, recorded with Tom Freund at the helm, show Brondstetter to be a powerful songsmith with a unique take on guitar/vocal music that sets him apart from many of his contemporaries. Each new song is a developmental step forward for him and Brondstetter is quite certain that his best work is still to come. His next single, “Are You Ready,” drops February 1st, 2019 to be followed by new singles every month or so. A live video of recent show at The Bootleg in L.A first song 'Are You Ready" is up now on YouTube.
