About:
'Gemini,' Macklemore’s first solo effort in 12 years, was released Friday, September 22nd. It follows two releases with producer Ryan Lewis: the multiple-GRAMMY award winning album ‘The Heist’ and 2016 release ‘This Unruly Mess I’ve Made' (featuring Platinum-certified single "Downtown").  The new album includes singles “Glorious" (featuring Skylar Grey), “Marmalade” (featuring Lil Yachty) and “Good Old Days” (featuring Kesha). The viral video for hit single “Glorious” stars Macklemore’s 100 year old grandmother, while the video for “Marmalade” (featuring Lil Yachty) stars a Mini Macklemore and a Lil Lil Yachty with cameos by running back legend Marshawn Lynch, Lil Yachty and Macklemore. The video for 3rd single, “Good Old Days” (featuring Kesha) stars Macklemore and Kesha. Collectively Macklemore’s music videos have been viewed over 2 billion times and he is one of only two rappers to have a Diamond-certified single. Macklemore’s previous solo releases include “The Language of My World” and the mixtapes “Open Your Eyes” and “The Unplanned Mixtape”. In the past year, the Seattle rapper released two solo songs 'Wednesday Morning' and 'Drug Dealer,’ performed on Ellen and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, was featured in an MTV special with President Obama about the opioid epidemic in America and was the first US citizen ever to participate in the Presidential Weekly Address.
